The final segments of the enormous spire crowning New Yorks One World Trade Center which replaces the Twin Towers destroyed on September 11 2001 were hoisted into place Thursday. When fully installed the building will become the tallest in the western hemisphere hitting 1776 feet to symbolize the year of US independence.
